By Scott Adams

HarperBusiness 1996

Although Scott Adams is the creator of the Dilbert comic strip, this is NOT a book of cartoons.  It is a humorous and sarcastic book about office life in modern America.  It is also a tragic book in that so much of the ridiculous corporate behavior Adams describes is as accurate a description as one is likely to find of what things are really like.

If you read this and look slightly behind the humor, you will get a detailed picture of corporate life in America.  But you will come away with a sense of frustration, because any one person is unlikely to be able to remedy the situation in any material way.

On balance, this is an extremely entertaining and accurate book about corporate life.  Much of the advice Adams offers, although served up as examples of a culture that he views as ridiculous as the realm of the Queen of Hearts, really works.  Unfortunately!!
